Social Skills Groups

Structured group sessions that help children build friendships, communication, and cooperative play skills.

Learning Together, Growing Together

Social skills are foundational to a happy, fulfilling life — and they can be taught. Upward Focus ABA's Social Skills Groups use evidence-based ABA techniques in a small-group format to help children develop the social tools they need to connect with peers, participate in school, and navigate everyday interactions.

Skills We Target

  • Initiating and maintaining conversations
  • Turn-taking and cooperative play
  • Reading social cues and nonverbal communication
  • Emotional regulation and perspective-taking
  • Problem-solving with peers

Our Group Format

Groups are small (typically 3–5 children) and matched by age and skill level. Each group is facilitated by trained ABA staff and structured around fun, engaging activities that naturally create opportunities for social learning. Parent involvement and take-home practice guides are included.
